Hospitality Green Grant Projects

As the old adage goes, "you have to spend money to make money." But what if you don't have the money to spend to in first place? We understand where our client's resources end and pipe dreams begin. That's why we work with numerous granting organizations to help win funds for clients who can deliver environmentally conscientious projects with verifiable outcomes and measurable results.

Hospitality Green also receives grants to train business professionals in "greening" food services, "green" maintenance and "green" operations.

In order to support our innovative improvement projects, we are always looking to partner with non-profits and seek avenues for further public sector funding. Please add us to your RFP notification list. We are always interested in new partnerships. The following is a list of our current Grant-based projects:

Santa Fe Green Lodging Initiative 2012- 2013

We are pleased to announce that the Santa Fe Green Lodging Initiative initiatied through funding from Region 6 of the USEPA received in April 2013 the Sustainable Santa Fe Award for Green Economic Development.

Pollution Prevention in the Berkshires 2012- 2013

Unique to this project HG will develop and provide a pollution prevention training curriculum and appropriate technical assistance tools for municipal health and building inspectors.

Grant Projects 2009-2012

The Green Concierge Project

The GC Project is a two-year eco-tourism initiative taking place throughout the Catskill Watershed region. The purpose of the project is to provide technical services to 150 hospitality facilities and help brand the Catskills Watershed region as an eco-tourist destination. In addition to complimentary technical services, fifty of the 150 facilities will go through an extensive assessment and certification process to be certified as green facilities. Funding has been provided by New York State's Empire State Development (ESD) and the Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC).

Greening Food Services

Hospitality Green's Greening Food Services initiative educates food service operators from New York's Hudson Valley on how to improve the environmental quality and economic vitality of their food service operations and facilities. Funding has been provided by the NYS Pollution Prevention Institute through a grant from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Facility "Go Green" Employee and Maintenance Training

In conjunction with NY SUNY Workforce Development, Hospitality Green is offering on-site trainings to facility employees that will enable them to monitor and adjust systems and personal behaviors and move their organization towards a more waste-free operation. Funding has been provided by SUNY Workforce Development.
